- Seattle 911 | Men skip out on trial; jury says guilty, not goodbye | Seattle P-I, Oct. 30. Two men fled during their trial for conspiracy to distribute ecstasy. The jury convicted them and now they also face penalties for fleeing during trial.
From 2005 to 2015 this blog presented news items and resources relating to trial advocacy and the legal system, with a focus on Washington State. It was developed to support the Trial Advocacy Program at the University of Washington School of Law, but broadened to include appellate practice, the courts, access to justice, and related topics. It is no longer active.

Defendants Gone Missing
Two current stories about defendants on the loose:
Bail should only be granted to those who are not flight risk.
ReplyDeleteFleeing just increases the accused's guilt. If one is innocent, he/she must submit to the authorities or law.
