A set of proposals would streamline the civil discovery process in King County.
See the proposed changes to Local Rules 26 and 33 on the court's website. The comment period ends April 15. The final rules will take effect Sept. 1. (There are other proposed rule changes too.)
An article in the March issue of the KCBA Bar Bulletin summarizes the efforts by judges and lawyers that led to the proposals. Streamlining Civil Discovery (Note: after the April issue is posted, the new URL for this article will be: http://www.kcba.org/barbulletin/0504/article6.html.)
