A Texas couple prosecuted by the IRS for tax fraud. After a five-week trial, the man (a criminal defense lawyer) was acquitted; charges against the woman (who practices family law) were dropped. They in turn sued the government (under the Federal Tort Claims Act) for malicious prosecution. Now the government has settled -- for $1.34 million.
