9th Circuit Blasts U.S. Prosecutor for Withholding Documents

Under Brady v. Maryland, prosecutors have an obligation to give the defense information that might help the defense's case. In a complicated fraud case, the federal prosecutor held back hundreds of pages of documents. As a sanction, the district judge dismissed the case.
