The Spokane Roman Catholic Diocese has agreed to pay $48 million to settle claims of sexual abuse by clergy, according to a press release from the Nevada bankruptcy judge who is serving as a mediator. The settlement still needs to be approved by the bankruptcy judge who is presiding over the case and then voted on by the creditors.
